Job summary

One&Only Moonlight Basin in Montana is seeking a Steward to uphold top cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and heart-of-house areas. You will ensure tasks are efficient and compliant with Chief Steward guidelines.

The role requires basic health and safety knowledge, up to date records, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a luxury resort setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a stewarding or similar cleaning role.
• Prior kitchen experience is a plus (training provided).
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures, including chemical handling.
• Some knowledge of hotel or resort operations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect cleaning tools and supplies from storage before starting work.
• Inspect equipment for proper working condition and safe chemical use.
• Clean assigned areas thoroughly using appropriate methods.
• Operate dishwashing equipment and maintain wash temperatures.
• Monitor recycling of dishwater per procedures.
• Polish metal items with correct techniques to prevent damage.
• Handle and store operating equipment to maintain function.
• Adhere to Health & Safety standards at all times.
• Participate in Health & Safety training to reduce risk of accidents.
• Maintain cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance records.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Steward or Management.

Job Summary

The Steward is responsible for upholding a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene across all kitchen and heart-of-house areas. This individual ensures that all tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively, in full compliance with the operational guidelines established by the Chief Steward.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Collects required cleaning tools, supplies, and products from storage before beginning work

• Inspects equipment before, during, and after use to ensure proper working condition and confirm correct chemical usage

• Cleans assigned areas thoroughly using appropriate methods and materials

• Operates dishwashing equipment, maintaining established washing temperatures

• Monitors the recycling of dishwater according to proper procedures

• Polishes metal items (gold, silver, copper, brass, etc.) using correct techniques to prevent damage

• Handles and stores operating equipment properly to maintain functionality and prevent breakage

• Adheres to all Health & Safety standards at all times, such as those regarding chemical handling

• Participates in Health & Safety training to minimize risk of accidents or injuries

• Maintains accurate cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance records for designated work areas

• Performs additional duties as assigned by the Chief Steward or other members of the Management team

Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a stewarding or similar cleaning role is preferred

• Basic understanding of Health & Safety procedures, such as safe chemical handling

• Some knowledge of hotel/resort operations

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts, weekends, and holidays
