Job summary

Sotera Health is hiring an Operator to coordinate all activities on the conveyor, load and unload product, and assist the Shift Supervisor in safe operation. You will manage dosimeter data, operate the dosimeter reader, and prepare dosimeters for scheduled runs.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, fluent English, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. forklift experience and computer skills are preferred. This is an on-site role with standard shifts in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Must be able to read and use a tape measure.
• Willingness to work established shifts.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive lifting.
• Forklift driving experience preferred.
• Computer skills desired.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product, complete required paperwork and assist with safe operation of the system.
• Record input, dosimeter and unload information in the computer.
• Load and unload product into totes that are sterilized through an irradiation machine.
• Prepare dosimeters for work orders scheduled to be run.
• Operate and read the dosimeter reader.
• Assemble processed dosimeters with run data sheet, work orders and load/unload sheets.
• Know and perform emergency procedures required by governing agencies.
• Report system problems to the Shift Supervisor or Maintenance team.
• Assist with replacing designated mechanical components and aid maintenance as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned.
