Houston Methodist is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, assemble, inspect, wrap and sterilize surgical instruments for the OR and all departments. You will support timely sterile products and case carts in collaboration with OR staff, while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.

The role emphasizes compliance with Universal Precautions, effective communication, and teamwork to ensure patient safety and department efficiency.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Sterile Processing program preferred.
• None of the above is required beyond the basic education; candidate must be eligible to work.
• CRCST or CSPDT Sterile Processing certification required.

Mansioni

• Decontaminate and assemble basic surgical trays and instruments.
• Wrap items and ensure proper sterility according to standards.
• Provide timely sterile products, trays and case carts to OR and departments.
• Maintain workflow between OR and Central Service Sterile Processing with excellent customer service.
