Research Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an Instrument Room Technician to support instrument decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging and sterilization under supervision of OR leadership. You will contribute to safe, high-quality patient care by preparing trays and assisting surgeons and nurses.

Qualifications

• Prefer basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation and all aspects of sterilization processes.
• Prefer six months to one year in a surgical or other related health care setting.
• Knowledge of the functions of decontamination and sterilization equipment preferred.
• Ability to exchange information in a factual, objective manner. Willingness to take direction from multiple sources.
• Able to be flexible with regard to task priorities and time schedules.

Responsabilités

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.
