HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for surgeries. You will work closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and maintain a high standard of patient safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring cycles, organizing trays, and safely handling biohazardous materials, contributing to the hospital's commitment to safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED required.
• Certification as CRCST or CSPDT must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date.

Responsabilités

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and resolve issues to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Prepare and organize instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support efficient surgeries.

Formation

High School Diploma or GED

CRCST Certification or CSPDT Certification within 2 years
