Job summary

Methodist Hospitals seeks a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, wash, process and sterilize all instruments used throughout the hospital system. You will set up and assemble items for Operating Room case carts and other departments, ensuring readiness and sanitation.

In this role you will monitor sterilization equipment, identify damaged instruments, and maintain stock levels, while following infection control standards and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certificate in Sterile Processing required.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, wash, process and sterilize instruments and supplies.
• Assemble and set up instrument stock for OR case carts and other departments.
• Operate sterilizers and related equipment following manufacturer instructions.
• Report damaged, missing, or malfunctioning instruments to Bio-Med promptly.
• Monitor instrument stock levels to ensure back-up availability.
