Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking a sterile processing technician to decontaminate, clean, assemble and sterilize surgical instruments in accordance with hospital standards. You will prepare and process instruments for general, trauma, and robotic procedures in the operating room.

You will inspect instruments for damage, maintain accurate documentation and ensure infection control protocols are followed, while supporting OR teams with timely availability of sterile trays and equipment.

Qualifications

• Certification in sterile processing (CER, CIS, or CSIS) and BLS.
• Minimum 1–2 years of sterile processing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments per hospital standards
• Prepare and process general, trauma, and robotic surgical instrumentation for operating room use
• Ensure accurate tracking, documentation, and compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols
• Inspect instruments for damage, functionality, and readiness for surgical procedures
• Support OR teams by ensuring timely availability of sterile trays and equipment
