Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a dedicated Instrument Technician to coordinate decontamination and sterile processing in the operating room. You will assemble instrument sets, monitor sterilization, and maintain instrument records to ensure readiness for daily OR needs.

Responsibilities include training staff, updating schedules, and upholding professional communication with caregivers, physicians, and vendors to support efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CBSPD certification preferred or required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate decontamination and sterile processing in the OR setting.
• Assemble and wrap instrument sets and ensure sterilization.
• Maintain records of sterilization and instrument status.
• Train OR staff on instrument duties and sterilization techniques.
• Maintain communication with internal and external customers and vendors.
