Job summary

Adventist Health Hanford is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, sterilize, and assemble surgical instruments for operating rooms and related departments. You will work under RN supervision in a busy perioperative environment, ensuring instrument safety and proper documentation.

Responsibilities include daily testing of processing equipment, maintaining logs, and supporting OR housekeeping as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent is required.
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and processes instruments, including counting and logging counts.
• Sterilizes instruments and trays and prepares for immediate use when needed.
• Maintains a clean, orderly department environment and autoclave areas.
• Performs daily instrument reprocessing and supports OR/ERS as needed.
• Assists with room turnover and supply/instrument picking for cases.
