Qualifications

• Must obtain certification within 18 months of employment.
• Certification expenses are the employee's responsibility with reimbursement after successful completion of test and 12 months service.
• On-the-job training provided; 90 days required for training; sterile processing/OR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives, identifies, and decontaminates surgical instruments and patient care equipment.
• Inspects, assembles, and wraps items for terminal sterilization (steam/sterrad).
• Stores and redistributes supplies; maintains accurate sterilizer records and a clean, safe work environment.
