Job summary

Blessing Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to support the processing of sterile instruments and trays. Responsibilities include disassembly, cleaning, inspection, assembly and scanning for sterilization, plus safe handling and storage of items.

The role requires compliance with decontamination and inventory control processes, with attention to detail and strong communication. CRCST certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire, with ongoing recertification annually.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written or verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Experience with computer applications.
• Previous experience with surgical instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Process sterile instrumentation and procedural trays; disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble and scan items for sterilization.
• Load sterilizers and monitor sterilization mechanically, chemically and biologically.
• Handle, transport and store sterilized items; ensure correct packaging and labeling.
