Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician at St. Francis Downtown to inspect, clean, assemble, test, and sterilize surgical instruments and patient care equipment per policy and manufacturer instructions.

Under supervision, you will support sterility standards, manage instrument tracking, inventory, and participate in ongoing education while on call as needed. A high school diploma and CRCST/HSPA/CBSPD certification are required or preferred, with recent surgical

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CRCST/HSPA/CBSPD certification required.
• Recent surgical setting experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Performs decontamination and processing of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment per manufacturer instructions.
• Maintains inventory, stocks, and delivers supplies across facility areas.
• Documents quality assurance and instrument tracking; relevant IT systems used.
• Operates washers, sterilizers, and other sterilizing equipment; ensures aseptic package assembly.
• Adheres to infection control policies and uses PPE as required.
