Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Central Service Technician to perform a variety of tasks related to sterile instrumentation and support the Department of Surgery. The technician will be responsible for decontaminating surgical instruments, monitoring sterilization processes, and ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.

The ideal candidate should possess a High School Diploma or GED and have strong leadership and organizational skills. Preferred qualifications include CRCST certification and at least one year of experience in Central Services.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Decontaminates and inspects surgical instruments.
• Cleans and decontaminates reusable patient equipment.
• Loads and monitors sterilization cycles and maintains records.
