Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, assemble and sterilize surgical instruments. You will work with washers, sterilizers (Sterrad/Steris), and tracking systems to ensure instruments are ready for the operating room.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of related experience; CRCST certification is preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role with a 40-hour work week and compensation in the range shown.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• CRCST certification or NJ DOH-recognized program required.
• One year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares instruments for decontamination following established protocols.
• Operates washers, sterilizers, and related equipment safely; conducts biological/diagnostic tests and records results.
• Assembles instrument sets and case carts; maintains accurate inventory and logbooks.
