Job summary

Overlake Hospital is hiring a Central Processing Technician for the Sterile Processing Department. The role encompasses decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of reprocessed items and full surgical instrument trays, with opportunities to develop and manage systems under supervision.

Full-time schedule with Weekend Day Shift (Friday–Sunday). Requires High School level education; CRCST/CBSPD certification within 1 year; prior sterile processing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Surgical Processing Technician course preferred.
• Must obtain CRCST or CBSPD certification within one year of hire.
• One year of sterile processing experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Fundamental knowledge of decontamination and sterilization principles.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize reprocessed items and surgical instrument trays.
• Develop and maintain systems and projects under shift supervisor guidance.
