Job summary

Overlake Hospital is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for the Sterile Processing Department. The Technician will perform decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of reprocessed items, including full instrument trays, under the direction of the shift supervisor.

This is a full-time night shift position with hours from 10pm to 6:30am. Qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, CRSCT or CBSPD certification, and preferred one year of sterile

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Basic understanding of decontamination and sterilization principles.
• Capacity to learn handling and assembly of surgical instrumentation and trays.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, package, and sterilize all reprocessed items and equipment, including full surgical instrument trays.
• Assemble full surgical instrument trays and related equipment; maintain accuracy and traceability.
• Develop and maintain systems and projects under the direction of the shift supervisor.
