Job summary

Overlake Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for the Sterile Processing Department. The role focuses on decontamination, assembly, packaging and sterilization of reprocessed items and full surgical instrument trays.

You will develop and maintain systems under the shift supervisor, with a 40-hour Week: Fri-Sun, 12-hour shifts, and a sign-on bonus eligibility for new hires.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication in English, both written and spoken.
• Basic knowledge of decontamination and sterilization procedures.
• Ability to assemble full surgical instrument trays and power equipment.
• Willingness to support new staff during training and adapt to shift needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, packaging and sterilization of reprocessed items and instruments.
• Maintain and improve systems and projects under the shift supervisor guidance.
• Handle routine sterile processing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Support training of new personnel and participate in process improvements.
