Job summary

Asante is hiring a Sterile Processing Technician in Grants Pass, Oregon, for the 2nd shift (swing) with full-time status. The role involves following infection control practices, disassembling, cleaning, decontaminating, and reassembling instrument trays and equipment, and handling sterilization and distribution for patient care.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and effective communication skills; CSPDT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required
• Willingness to obtain CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Tech) by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) preferred

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, decontaminate and reassemble all instrument trays, sets, medical surgical supplies and equipment.
• Complete sterile preparation, sterilization, storage and distribution of items for patient care.

SalaryRange:$19.27 - $26.50

Shift Differentials:

• $1.21 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $2.05 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $1.05 extra for working weekends

Position Summary

Following infection control practices and aseptic techniques, the Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for disassembling, cleaning, decontaminating and reassembling all instrument trays, sets, medical surgical supplies and equipment. They also complete sterile preparation, sterilization, storage and distribution of all the aforementioned items that are required for the care of the patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required
• Willingness to obtain CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing & Distribution Tech) by the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) preferred
