Job summary

Asante is seeking a Lead Sterile Processing Tech in Grants Pass, OR. This role coordinates Sterile Processing Services functions and staff to support surgical services and other departments in reprocessing, decontamination, sterile preparation, storage and distribution of all instruments, trays and sets.

The position provides support to the department manager and team leaders to effectively execute the department's vision and function.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years SPS experience with instruments, steam, sterrad and ETO gas sterilizers, surgery cart systems and instrument decontamination.
• CSPDT: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician required; CRCST preferred.

SalaryRange:$23.28 - $32.02

Shift Differentials:

• $1.44 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm
• $2.55 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am
• $1.27 extra for working weekends

Position Summary

The Lead Sterile Processing Tech coordinates the Sterile Processing Services functions and staff to assist surgical services and other hospital departments as it relates to reprocessing, decontamination, sterile preparation, storage and distribution of all instruments, trays and sets. The Lead Tech also provides support to the department manager and team leaders to effectively carry out the vision and function of the department.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate as needed for the position is required

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of previous SPS experience working with instruments, steam, sterrad and ETO gas sterilizers, surgery cart systems and instrument decontamination is required
• Knowledge of sterilization practices, instrumentation, decontamination processes, medical/surgical supplies and patient-related equipment required

Certifications

• CSPDT: Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician required
• CRCST: Certified Registered Central Service Technician, preferred
