Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System in Missouri is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to assemble, wrap, package and sterilize reusable items for the Medical Center. You will accurately prepare all case carts for Surgery and maintain compliance with AAMI/CMS standards to keep patients safe.

Shifts vary, full-time 80 hours per 2 weeks; typical hours include 7p-3:30a, 11p-7:30a, and 12p-8:30p. High School Diploma or GED required; competent in SPD tasks within 12 months of hire; position reports

Qualifications

• Competent in all areas for SPD as determined by manager/director within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wrap, package and sterilize all reusable items in the Medical Center.
• Accurately prepare all case carts for Surgery in a timely manner.
• Maintain standards for AAMI/CMS to keep patient safety.
• Work to improve process and throughput.
• Work under the direction of Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director.
