Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to assemble, wrap, package, and sterilize all reusable items for the Medical Center. You will accurately prepare case carts for Surgery and maintain AAMI/CMS standards to ensure patient safety, working under the Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director to improve throughput.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with competency in SPD areas within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Competent in all areas for SPD as determined by manager/director within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, wrapping, packaging and sterilization of all reusable items in the Medical Center.
• Accurately prepares all case carts for Surgery in a timely manner.
• Ensures the standards for AAMI/CMS are maintained to keep patient safe.
• Works under the direction of Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director.
• Works to improve process and throughput.
