Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System in Missouri is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to assemble, wrap, package and sterilize reusable items for the Medical Center. You will accurately prepare case carts for surgery and uphold AAMI/CMS standards to protect patient safety.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED and competency in SPD within 12 months; shifts include nights; the department reports to Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Competent in all SPD areas within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wrap, package and sterilize reusable items for the Medical Center.
• Accurately prepare all case carts for Surgery in a timely manner.
• Maintain standards per AAMI/CMS to ensure patient safety.
• Work to improve process and throughput.
• Report to Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director.
