Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to join the Medical Center team. You will assemble, wrap, package and sterilize reusable items for surgery, and prepare all case carts for the operating rooms in a timely manner.

You will ensure compliance with AAMI and CMS standards to safeguard patient safety, and contribute to process and throughput improvements under the Sterile Processing Manager and Surgical Services Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Competency in SPD as determined within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wrap, package and sterilize reusable items for the Medical Center.
• Accurately prepare all case carts for Surgery in a timely manner.
• Maintain AAMI/CMS standards to safeguard patient safety.
• Work to improve process and throughput under management.
