Job summary

Blessing Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Instrument Tech (SPD) - Non-Certified for full-time day/evening shifts. Duties include cleaning, assembling, scanning, and loading sterilizers; ensuring proper packaging and storage of instruments; and supporting inventory control within the Sterile Processing department.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong communication, and the ability to follow directions. CRCST certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent written or verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Experience with computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, assemble and scan items to be sterilized.
• Package items correctly and load sterilizers to achieve sterility.
• Transport and store items to maintain sterilization and inventory control.
• Monitor sterilization processes mechanically, chemically and biologically.
• Retrieve soiled instruments and ensure safe handling and proper storage.
