Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing professional to support the operating rooms and hospital clinics. The role includes preparing equipment, sterilizing instruments, assembling case carts, and assisting in various specialty areas under the supervision of the Sterile Processing leadership.

Hours are 3:00pm–11:30pm, Monday through Friday, with full-time benefits. The hospital emphasizes growth, teamwork, and delivering high-quality patient care in a leading pediatric

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Cert/Lic in Area of Expertise.
• 2-5 years of experience in sterile processing or related operating room support.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers and builds case carts for just-in-time delivery.
• Follows proper techniques to ensure sterilization integrity and handles sterilizers and equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation per standards; documents tray contents and maintains instrument tracking.
• Transports case carts and materials to procedural areas while preventing cross-contamination.
• Assembles and processes instrument sets and loads for various surgical specialties and clinics; maintains high-level disinfection for endoscopes.
