Job summary

The Central Sterile Tech role at UCI Health involves decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilizing supplies and equipment for the hospital and clinics. It also covers charging, billing, and logging of OR services and patient charges.

Daily biological testing is required, and you will participate in department and center-wide performance improvement projects while floating between UCI Health locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an accredited Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology program.
• Knowledge of infection control techniques and medical terminology.
• Experience with shifting schedules and multi-site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, and sterilize supplies and equipment.
• Charge, bill, and log OR-related services and patient charges.
• Perform daily biological testing.
• Support performance improvement projects and float as needed.
