Job summary

UNC Health in Hillsborough, NC, is seeking a Full Time Sterile Processing professional for evening shifts. Responsibilities include assembling instrument baskets, cleaning and sterilizing sets, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• None required as long as other position qualifications are met.
• Nine months' experience as a sterile tech if located at UNC Medical Center or Rex Hospital.
• Graduation from a sterile processing school meets experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assembles baskets of instruments, basin sets and equipment for sterilization.
• Assembles sets of supplies and instruments for clinical settings; checks cleanliness and functionality.
• Decontaminates, disinfects and cleans supplies, instruments and equipment.
• Distributes instruments, equipment and supplies to appropriate locations.
• Monitors and maintains adequate levels of supplies, instruments and equipment.
