Job summary

UNC Rex Healthcare is hiring a Central Sterile Tech I for its Sterile Processing team in Raleigh, NC. The role offers day, evening, and night shifts with a 40-hour workweek and requires completion of a sterile processing program or at least nine months of experience.

As part of UNC Health, you will process and sterilize instruments, manage baskets and trays, monitor supplies, and document actions per policy. The position is onsite with a standard 40 hours per week schedule.

Qualifications

• No licensure or certification required.
• No experience required.
• If position is located at UNC Medical Center or Rex Hospital, nine months' experience as a sterile tech is required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles baskets of instruments, basin sets and equipment using appropriate check lists and prepares for sterilization.
• Assembles sets of supplies and instruments used in a variety of clinical settings. Checks for cleanliness and functionality.
