Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician II to clean, sterilize, process, arrange, and distribute patient equipment. You may mentor Sterile Processing Technician I staff.

Responsibilities include room preparation, instrument sterilization, inventory management, and adherence to safety and infection control practices. We value teamwork and commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience.
• Must hold CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT, or CST certification.
• Certified Board Sterile Processing & Dist (CBSPD), CRCST, CSPDT, or CST credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange rooms with instruments, equipment, treatment trays, and supplies as needed.
• Clean instruments and equipment; operate sterilization equipment per guidelines.
• Manage inventory by ordering, replenishing, and distributing instruments and reusable medical equipment.
• Follow safety, infection control, and environmental rules to uphold patient care standards.
• Mentor Sterile Processing staff and train entry-level technicians.
