Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician 2 to clean, sterilize, and distribute patient equipment in a hospital setting. You may mentor entry-level staff and ensure instrument readiness for surgical cases.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED and certification in CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT, or CST. Expect adherence to safety and infection control standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in sterile processing or related field.
• Certification in CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT, or CST is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange rooms with instruments and supplies according to department needs.
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment following guidelines.
• Manage inventory of instruments and reusable equipment for general and surgical use.
• Follow safety, infection control, and environmental rules to protect patients and staff.
• Mentor and train entry-level Sterile Processing staff.
