Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician 2 to join our centralized processing team in Texas. The role involves cleaning, sterilizing, processing, and distributing patient equipment, with opportunities to mentor junior staff.

You will follow strict infection control and safety guidelines, maintain organized instrument inventories, and support room readiness for procedures. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Certification in CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT, or CST is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange rooms with instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Clean instruments and equipment using approved detergents; operate sterilization equipment per guidelines.
• Manage inventory: order, replenish, and distribute instruments and reusable medical equipment.
• Follow safety, environmental, and infection control policies to protect patients and staff.
• Mentor and train Sterile Processing staff and assist with training entry-level personnel.
