Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX seeks a Sterile Processing Technician 2 to support patient care by sterilizing and distributing instruments. You may mentor junior staff and ensure rooms are prepared with clean, ready-to-use equipment.

Responsibilities include cleaning, organizing, stocking, and following infection control guidelines. A minimum of 1 year in sterile processing and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Education: HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: minimum 1 year in sterile processing or related field.
• Certification: CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT or CST required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange rooms, organize instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Clean and disinfect instruments using approved detergents; operate sterilization equipment per guidelines.
• Manage inventory by ordering, replenishing and distributing instruments and reusable equipment.
• Follow safety and infection control policies to protect patients and staff.
• Mentor and train entry‑level Sterile Processing staff and share skills with the team.
