Job summary

Cooley Dickinson Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Technician to perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization and distribution of instruments and supplies. The role requires CSP certification and typically one year of CSP experience, with the ability to work evenings and comply with sterile processing standards.

The position is based at 30 Locust Street, Northampton, MA, and reports to the CSP Supervisor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• CSP certification (HSPA) required.
• One year CSP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, process, sterilize, store and distribute medical supplies and instruments used in patient care and in surgical procedures.
• Ensure instrument sets are complete and in good working order.
• Operate steam, sterrad and steris sterilization equipment per established procedures.
• Coordinate with CSP/OR Materials Manager and OR Manager to prioritize daily work.
• Maintain inventory levels within Central Processing and Surgery departments.
