Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is looking for a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for every surgery. You’ll support safe, high-quality care by maintaining sterile fields and coordinating with nurses and surgeons.

Qualifications include enrollment or completion of a Sterile Processing Tech program, a high school diploma or GED, and 1+ years of experience preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and a strong employee rewards package.

• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping areas clean.
• Collaborating with nurses and surgeons to support efficient surgeries.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, youll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

What qualifications you will need:

• Enrollment or Completion of Sterile Processing Tech program Required.
• High School Graduate / GED.
• 1 or more years of experience preferred.
