Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare North Cypress is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized and ready for surgeries in a busy hospital setting. You will follow safety standards, monitor cycles, and organize trays in alignment with the daily schedule, supporting nurses and surgeons.

Applicant should have enrolled or completed a Sterile Processing Tech program and a high school diploma; 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrollment or Completion of Sterile Processing Tech program required.
• High School Graduate / GED required.
• 1+ years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping work area clean.
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to support smooth, efficient surgeries.

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries

What qualifications you will need:

• Enrollment or Completion of Sterile Processing Tech program Required.
• High School Graduate / GED.
