Job summary

Medical City Frisco is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized and ready for surgery. You will follow safety standards, monitor cycles, and coordinate with the OR team to maintain workflow.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, CRCST and CSPDT certifications, and at least 1 year of experience. The hospital offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment within the Medical City network.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies.

  • Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials; keep areas clean.
  • Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to support efficient surgeries.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sterile Processing Technician, youll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
  • Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care
  • Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs
  • Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized
  • Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries
What qualifications you will need:
  • - High School/GED
  • - Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST)
  • - Certified Registered Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
  • - 1 year of experience
