Penn Medicine is seeking an Instrument Processing Technician to support the Operating Room schedule by decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, and sterilizing surgical instrumentation. You will ensure sets are complete and dispatched to the correct location, serving as a vital resource on the Perioperative Services Team.

Candidates should have 0–1 year of instrument processing experience and must obtain Central Processing Technician CRCST certification within 18 months of hire.

Competenze

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• 0–1 year of instrument processing experience.
• Certification as a Central Processing Technician or CRCST must be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Mansioni

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instrumentation.
• Follow the OR schedule priorities and call for required instruments.
• Track instruments using the automated system and document processed material.
• Assist clinicians and ensure instruments and supplies reach the correct location.
