Penn Medicine is seeking an Instrument Processor to support the Operating Room schedule by decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, packaging, and sterilizing surgical instrumentation. This role is a vital part of the Perioperative Services team, ensuring instrument sets are ready and dispatched accurately for each procedure.

Responsibilities include adhering to perioperative standards, using the instrument tracking system, and coordinating with staff to meet daily OR needs.

Formación

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Required)
• CRCST must be obtained within 18 months from date of hire
• HS Diploma/GED (Required)
• 0–1 years instrument processing experience

Responsabilidades

• Cleans, decontaminates, inspects, assembles, packages, and sterilizes surgical instrumentation, linens
• Assembles finished instrument sets appropriate for scheduled procedures and dispatches them correctly
• Follows Perioperative standards of practice and uses instrument tracking system; documents processed materials
• Acts as a resource to the team and supports professional development within the department
• Maintains HIPAA and JCAHO compliance and references MSDS as needed
