Job summary

The lead oversees decontamination, assembly, and scope processing while ensuring adherence to Joint Commission and other standards. Required CRCST or CSPDT certification, a high school diploma or GED, and six months of Sterile Processing experience.

Qualifications

• Requires: CRCST or CSPDT certification as listed in the healthcare sterile processing guidelines.
• Six months’ experience in Sterile Processing or completion of externship.
• Two years’ experience in Sterile Processing preferred.
• Education: High School diploma/GED required; further degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities to clean, sterilize, and pick instruments, sets, and scopes.
• Lead Sterile Processing technicians across decontamination, assembly, scope processing, sterilizer, and front case picking.
• Monitor productivity and quality to avoid bottlenecks and improve efficiency.
• Maintain files and quality manuals; verify pass-offs are complete at shift end.
