Job summary

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus is seeking a Lead CSP Technician to perform duties in decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation. The role requires monitoring sterilizer parameters and leading unit team members in performance evaluations and interviews.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year sterile processing experience.
• CRCST certification (HSPA).
• CSPDT certification (CBSPD).
• Endoscope Preprocessor certification (HSPA).
• CIS certification (HSPA).

Responsibilities

• Clean and decontaminate reusable equipment, instruments and supplies manually and mechanically.
• Assess supplies required for prescribed standard surgical procedures and set up case carts.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper handling procedures of equipment.
• Monitor, read, document and interpret all parameters for sterilizers to ensure proper function.
• Perform emergency response duties as trained, per hospital policy.
• Lead unit team members' performance and provide feedback.
• Assemble instruments in trays per established tray listings and ensure proper packing procedures.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Associate’s Degree (preferred)

1 year Sterile Processing experience

CRCST Certification (HSPA)
