Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA, is seeking a Sterile Processing Dept. Supervisor to supervise, prioritize, and coordinate workflow for the shift, ensuring proper decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment.

You will lead a team, enforce infection control practices, manage time reporting, scheduling, performance evaluations, and corrective actions to maintain excellent patient care and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Required: Accredited school of Sterile Processing or Surgical Technology or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Minimum three years’ work experience as a CST in a leadership capacity.
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Current CRCST or CST certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, prioritize, and coordinate team workflow for the shift.
• Ensure proper decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment.
• Act as a resource and ensure infection control practices are followed.
• Manage workloads, time reporting, scheduling, and performance evaluations; take corrective actions if necessary.
