Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Dept. Supervisor to lead the shift, prioritize work flow, and ensure clean, decontaminated and properly sterilized supplies for patient care. You will coordinate workloads, monitor performance, and uphold infection control standards.

As part of UCI Health, you will supervise staff, conduct evaluations, and implement corrective actions when needed, contributing to a safe and efficient perioperative environment in Orange County.

Qualifications

• Accredited Sterile Processing school completed or 18 months relevant Sterile Processing experience.
• Minimum three years’ CST leadership experience.
• Knowledge and practice of infectious control techniques and medical terminology.
• Current CRCST or CST certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, prioritize and coordinate team workflow for the shift.
• Ensure proper decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment.
• Act as a resource and ensure infection control practices are followed.
• Plan and assign workloads, manage time reporting and scheduling.
• Evaluate team performance including evaluations and disciplinary actions if necessary.
