Job summary

Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center in Fairlawn, OH seeks a Sterile Processing Supervisor for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM). You will lead daily operations, delegate tasks, schedule staff, and assure timely production of sterile supplies.

Role emphasizes quality control, adherence to Joint Commission standards, budget awareness, training, and vendor liaison. Prior sterile processing supervision is required; CBSPD certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Sterile Processing program; college degree preferred.
• Three to five years in sterile processing, OR or similar setting with supervisory experience.
• Central Processing/Sterilization credentialing preferred (CBSPD) or obtainable within six months.
• Strong leadership, scheduling and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily department operations, delegates work and schedules staffing for proper production of supplies.
• Participates in interviewing and evaluating staff; handles disciplinary actions with HR support.
• Ensures quality control and efficient production per Infection Control, Joint Commission, AORN and industry standards.
• Oversees audits for trays/carts; ensures instruments are provided and repair/restoration programs are followed.
• Assists with budgeting and policy development; ensures manufacturing guidelines for sterilization are met.
• Maintains inventory, records, security and reporting; liaises with vendors and sales reps.
• Acts as a liaison during emergencies and supports PI monitoring in the department.
