University Hospitals in Cleveland, OH seeks a Decontamination Coordinator, Sterile Processing to lead shift operations in the Sterile Processing area. This role handles decontamination, reassembly, sterilization, packaging, storage and distribution of reusable equipment and instrument trays.

The position requires 3+ years in production with sterile processing credentials (HSPA or CBSPD) or 2+ years with two certifications, plus strong leadership and communication skills.

Formación

• High School diploma or GED required; Sterile Processing program preferred.
• 3+ years in production with 1 CP/CP certification (HSPA or CBSPD) or 2+ years with 2 certifications.
• Previous leadership experience preferred; strong communication and patient-safety focus.

Responsabilidades

• Picks and distributes reusable equipment and instrument trays; supports perioperative processing.
• Leads shift operations, triages issues, and ensures policy adherence.
• Ensures compliance with JC, CMS, OSHA, and AMMI regulations.
• Collaborates with management on hiring, training, scheduling, and staff development.
• Maintains PHI security and supports quality assurance and education activities.
• Coordinates staffing and resource allocation across Sterile Processing.
