Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to help decontaminate, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments. You will operate washers, sterilizers, and tracking systems while maintaining aseptic technique and accurate documentation. The role includes inventory support and collaboration with clinical teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions accurately.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles, inspects and prepares instruments for decontamination.
• Loads and operates washers, ultrasonic cleaners, and sterilizers.
• Assembles instrument sets and replaces missing items to complete sets.
• Maintains sterile packaging and logs results.
• Assists with onboarding of new partners.
