Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Sterile Processing certification is required.
• Minimum of two years in acute care facility experience in Sterile Processing.
• Position involves standing and walking for long periods (about 75% of the workday).
• Must have the dexterity, coordination, and visual and auditory acuity to perform all job responsibilities.
• Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Must be free from signs of illness and infection.
• Must be able to stoop, push carts, bend, and lift stocking supplies.

Responsibilities

• Cares for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing and wrapping them for sterilization.
• Works under the supervision of the OR Director/Manager of Sterile Processing or designee.
