Job summary

Requirements include HS diploma or GED, completion of an accredited SPD/ surgical tech program, or 5 years SPD/OR experience; CSPDT certification within one year is expected.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of an accredited sterile processing or surgical technology course; online programs without hands-on instruction are not accepted.
• In lieu of the course, 5 years' SPD or OR experience required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a close working relationship between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room to support surgeon satisfaction, case completion, and patient safety.
