Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing liaison to strengthen the collaboration with the Operating Room. The role focuses on anticipating needs and bridging gaps to support surgeon satisfaction, timely case completion, and interdepartmental communication ensuring patient safety and high-quality care.

Candidates should have a GED or higher and relevant SPD/OR experience, with certification in CSPDT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a close working relationship between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room.
• Anticipate needs and bridge gaps to ensure surgeon satisfaction, case completion, interdepartmental communication, and patient quality care and safety.

Education

H.S. Diploma or GED

Graduate of an accredited sterile processing or surgical technology course

In lieu of completion of the course, 5 years' working experience within SPD or the OR
