Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Sterile Processing education program required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination preferred.
• Five years of demonstrated experience in acute care Sterile Processing required.
• Minimum one year leadership/supervisory experience in sterile processing.
• Current CSPDT or CRCST certification from IAHCSMM.
• CHL leadership certification within six months of acceptance.
• CER certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage collection, decontamination, assembly, sterilization, distribution and inventory of instrumentation.
• Develop and ensure compliance with departmental operating budget.
• Provide department leadership and accountability for performance improvement.
• Collaborate with infection prevention, biomed, engineering and plants services as needed.
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff; manage schedules and competency validation.
• Ensure accurate sterilization records and regulatory compliance.
• Represent department in hospital meetings and quality initiatives.
