Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to coordinate, schedule, and direct the Sterile Processing staff across departments including OR, Birth Center, ED, and clinics. The role ensures efficient workflows and acts as department liaison; based at Lancaster, PA with evening shift.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent required.
• Associates degree or minimum 4 years Sterile Processing experience with 2–3 years as a sterile processing technician with demonstrated charge abilities.
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician required.
• Additional Certifications preferred (e.g. CER, CIS, CHL, CCSVP)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, schedule and provide direction to Sterile Processing staff.
• Coordinate activities and monitor usage of instruments and supplies between all areas of Sterile Processing, OR, Birth Center, ED, floors, labs, on/off site clinics, etc.
• Oversee overall department direction and leadership in the absence of the Manager.
